Stillborn Blues isn't blues but minimalist, awkward, melancolic and lo-fi prepared / detuned guitar pieces played in the dark with too much delay and reverb... Topics: lo-fi, improvisation, prepared guitar
Le brûle-cendres is Kecap Tuyul first solo release. It is made of 2 tracks that were improvised and recorded in kt's bedroom studio on prepared guitar (with e-bow sometimes) in september 2011. No plans, no structures, no looper, no edits, no overdubs... ( 1 reviews ) Topics: Kecap Tuyul, experimental, improvisation, prepared guitar
After having remixed Stillborn Ghosts' "album Over & Out" (Stillborn Dub), Ayato continued to revisit works from the eg0cide staff. This time he completed an unfinished raw mix of Stillborn Blues in a quite surprising way. If someone had told me before that Stillborn Blues' arythmical, lo-fi, melancolic guitars could be crossed with techno-dub influences, I would have been more than sceptical. Ayato didn't tell us before - he just did it, in a very personal way, and the result... Topics: Ayato, Stillborn Blues, experimental, guitar, remix
The only sound source used by TGBTS is guitar (often prepared and processed by some software treatments) to create dissonant experimental tunes and foggy dark soundscapes. Tracks available here were selected and compiled in end of april 2007, from various lo-fi recordings made between december2006 and april 2007 after a 9 years break in musical activities. TGBTS' 2nd album, Forgetting The Shore is more achieved and more ambient oriented. Topics: ambient, dark ambient, experimental, guitar-based ambient, industrial, lo-fi, prepared guitar,...
"Howling Fossils" is a massive and cavernous drone made of layers of processed guitars, with a hint of rawer guitar noise in the middle. The only sounds used in this track come from 2 guitar improvisations recorded in january 2007 (one of them is available as Howling Fossils (Demixed) on TGBTS 1st mp3 album : Ekstatik Trauma). The final mix (using only audacity and its built-in effects) has been made in summer 2007. ( 1 reviews ) Topics: ambient noise, dark ambient, drone, experimental, guitar-based ambient
In our times, it is hard to still believe in something like "harmony of the spheres". Instead, people like Cody Ban (a duo featuring Lorsen (aka Slo-Blo) and Iban) try to extract some kind of "beauty" from the depths of some subdued rumbling chaos. Using only guitars (with a bunch of stompboxes effects) they produce some of the most adventurous and cosmic drone guitar music I've heard since a long time. Piece after piece, their nicely titled-album Sustained Neighbor-tones... Topics: ambient, drone, experimental, guitar, shoegaze, Cody Ban, eg0cide
This is the 2nd part of a double album that was firstly released as a very limited 2xcdr edition (the 1st physical release from Eg0cide Productions) with artwork by Cédric Lerouley. The first part is available here : http://www.archive.org/details/eg0_010a Many thanks again to Cédric for his generous help. Topics: The Ghost Between The Strings, guitar-based ambient, drone rock, experimental
We discovered Nowa Ziemia with these 2 tracks that he firstly self-released separately . "Bez światła" (without light) is rather abstract and noisy, "Wzorcec" (patterns) is quieter and more melodic. Both show a great sense of atmosphere building, somewhere between minimalist post-rock and raw guitar drone. They now form Trajektorie, the first web album of this very promising artist Topics: atmospheric, drone, guitar, noise, Nowa Ziemia, Artur Krychowiak, eg0cide

New album 2 X 2 is simply a collection of 2 live duos featuring Kecap Tuyul on prepared guitar were improvised and recorded in summer 2011 and 2012. Limbo's Luna Park play nothing original but a very classic mixture of autistic pink metal, surrealist post electro folk and fake reverb-generated drone, with a hint of soft romantic free noise. ( 2 reviews ) Topics: experimental, lo-fi, prepared guitar, post-electro-folk, pink metal, soft noise, weird crap
With Tunnel Songs, Kecap Tuyul delivers his possibly darkest batch of half improvised ritual tunes to date. Prepared guitar is still at the core of his music, but voice and melodies are getting more in the foreground than before. The tracks of the album were loosely recorded between 2009 & 2014, and patiently mixed between 2012 & 2015 in various places. ( 1 reviews ) Topics: ritual, shamanic, subterranean, prepared guitar, voice, Kecap Tuyul, eg0cide
Rain Spirits, Half Evidence's new album has been recorded (mostly) during the rainy month of april 2013 in Champagnac-la-Prune. Totally improvised as usual, these tracks show the most melodic side of the band, including some almost bluesy/jazzy atmospheres - but still within the band's personal blend of peaceful drifts and grittier percussive/scrapping sounds. Topics: improvisation, home-made instruments, prepared guitar, Half Evidence, Charles premier, Kecap Tuyul,...
Kecap Tuyul was invited to play live with the Crash Duo (Anton Mobin (prepared chamber, tapes) and Ayato (prepared guitar, tapes)) on september 30, for the Aperaudio show curated by Radio Campus Orléans. This totally improvised session was recorded and the 3 performers found it interesting enough to get a release (no edits have been made), available in wav, flac, ogg and mp3, with artwork by Anton Mobin Topics: Anton Mobin, Ayato, Crash Duo, Kecap Tuyul, experimental, improvisation, prepared guitar, tapes
Unlike previous TGBTS' albums that were rather various, this one contains only dark ambient / ambient noise, in a deliberately monotonous and minimalist vein - but still made with only guitar (and bass on last track) sounds. Warning : These are lo-fi recordings, they weren't designed at all for headphones listening. ( 1 reviews ) Topics: dark ambient, guitar-based ambient, experimental, lo-fi
